EUR/USD (Euro / Dollar)
The world’s most traded currency pair.
What is EUR/USD
EUR/USD is the exchange rate between the euro and the US dollar, the two largest currencies in the world. It is by far the most traded pair in the foreign-exchange market.
The pair is driven by the contrast between the European Central Bank and the US Federal Reserve: when one looks likely to raise or cut rates relative to the other, the pair moves.
Because of its huge liquidity, EUR/USD usually has very tight spreads and moves in an orderly way, which makes it a favourite starting point for currency trading.
